IV (Talent) Calculator

Enter your Pal's level and measured stats to reverse-calculate HP, Attack, and Defense Individual Values (Talent, 0–100).

My Pals

Search by name or Paldeck number to add Pals you own.

No owned Pals registered yet.

Select Pal

Enter the exact values shown on the Pal detail screen in-game.

IV Estimate

Pick a Pal, enter the measured stats, then press Calculate to see results here.

Talent Upgrade Items

Life Fruit, Power Fruit, and Stout Fruit each slightly raise a Pal's Health, Attack, or Defense talent. The game data does not state the exact amount per fruit, so we do not list a number.

About the Talent (IV) System

How IV reverse-calculation works

Palworld has no official stat formula documentation, so this calculator uses a community reverse-engineered approximation. HP formula: floor(500 + 5×Lv + baseHP×0.5×Lv×(1+talent/100)). Attack and Defense use floor(baseStat×0.075×Lv×(1+talent/100)). Because of the floor operation, multiple talent values may map to the same measured stat — this is why results are sometimes shown as a range.

How to use the IV calculator and the formula behind it

How to use it

  1. Pick a Pal and enter its level.
  2. Enter the HP, melee attack, ranged attack and defense shown on the in-game status screen.
  3. The calculator shows the IV range (0 to 100) that can produce each value.

The formula

The game does not publish its stat formula. This calculator uses an approximation the community fitted from measurements, and it can change with patches.

HP is 500 + 5 x level + base HP x 0.5 x level x (1 + IV / 100), rounded down. Attack and defense are base value x 0.075 x level x (1 + IV / 100), rounded down.

It tries every IV from 0 to 100 and collects the ones that give exactly the value you entered. Values that include other bonuses such as passives or gear may give no range or a wrong one.

Worked example

For Anubis (base HP 120) at level 50, the formula gives 3750 HP at IV 0 and 6750 HP at IV 100. Where the status screen HP falls between those two tells you the IV.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the range sometimes wide?
At low levels, different IVs often round down to the same value, so several IVs match. The range narrows as the level goes up.
Can IVs be raised?
The game data has the Life Fruit, Power Fruit and Stout Fruit, which raise a Pal's Health, Attack and Defense talent. The in-game text only says they raise it slightly. This calculator treats IVs as a value from 0 to 100 when it searches for a range.

FAQ

What are Individual Values (IVs)?
Individual Values (Talent) are per-Pal integers from 0 to 100 covering HP, Attack, and Defense. Even the same species can have different stats depending on its IVs, and a score of 100 in any category means that Pal has the maximum possible stat for that attribute.
Should I always aim for IV 100 in all stats?
It depends on the role. For base workers, HP and work speed matter more. For combat, Attack IVs are key. If you want a fully-optimized all-rounder, breed for 100 in all three stats — though it requires significant time investment.
How do I increase a Pal's IVs?
Feed a Life Fruit (Health), Power Fruit (Attack), or Stout Fruit (Defense) to slightly raise that talent. The in-game description only says it raises the talent slightly, so the exact amount per fruit is not confirmed. Alternatively, breed two Pals with high IVs to naturally produce offspring with better base values.
