Capture Rate Calculator
~ marks spheres whose multiplier is a community-tested estimate.
The target Pal's level. Its gap from the sphere's capture power drives the result more than anything else.
Current HP / Max HP (%)
Enter the value shown at the Statue of Power exactly as the game displays it. Each displayed point is worth half a point of real capture power, so a maxed +15 counts as +7.5 here.

About the Capture Formula
How capture rate is calculated
Palworld has no official documentation for its capture formula and the game's data tables do not contain one either, so this calculator uses a community-reverse-engineered approximation. The core of it is not a multiplier but a level contest: every sphere carries a capture power (7 for the Pal Sphere up to 64 for the Ancient Sphere), the target Pal's level is subtracted from it, and that gap is raised to the ninth power. A few levels therefore move the result by an order of magnitude. Remaining HP contributes up to a 1.3× swing, but it passes through the same ninth power, so in practice it matters more than tenfold. Throw a Mega Sphere at a level 48 Pal and its capture power of 14 leaves a gap of −34: even at a quarter HP the single-throw odds stay under one percent.
FAQ
- Where do the sphere capture powers come from?
- The game's data tables hold exactly one capture-related number, the per-Pal capture correction value. Sphere capture power and the formula itself are not in them. The values from 7 to 64 used here were reverse-engineered by the community, which is why they are an approximation.
- Can the result differ from what the game shows?
- Once you enter your Effigy capture power and server multiplier it lines up closely with the in-game display. One thing to watch: the Statue of Power shows double the real value, so a maxed +15 is actually +7.5. This calculator takes the displayed number and halves it internally, so enter exactly what the game shows you.
- What does a low capture correction value mean?
- The capture correction value is a per-Pal modifier stored in the game data. 1.0 is baseline and lower values are harder to catch. Since 263 of the 288 Pals sit at exactly 1.0, this factor rarely separates one Pal from another — level and remaining HP are what decide the outcome.
