About the Talent (IV) System

How IV reverse-calculation works

Palworld has no official stat formula documentation, so this calculator uses a community reverse-engineered approximation. HP formula: floor(500 + 5×Lv + baseHP×0.5×Lv×(1+talent/100)). Attack and Defense use floor(baseStat×0.075×Lv×(1+talent/100)). Because of the floor operation, multiple talent values may map to the same measured stat — this is why results are sometimes shown as a range.

FAQ

What are Individual Values (IVs)?
Individual Values (Talent) are per-Pal integers from 0 to 100 covering HP, Attack, and Defense. Even the same species can have different stats depending on its IVs, and a score of 100 in any category means that Pal has the maximum possible stat for that attribute.
Should I always aim for IV 100 in all stats?
It depends on the role. For base workers, HP and work speed matter more. For combat, Attack IVs are key. If you want a fully-optimized all-rounder, breed for 100 in all three stats — though it requires significant time investment.
How do I increase a Pal's IVs?
Use HP Fruit, Attack Fruit, or Defense Fruit to raise the corresponding talent by +10 per use, up to 100. Alternatively, breed two Pals with high IVs to naturally produce offspring with better base values.
