About the Pal Comparison Tool

What gets compared

Combat stats (HP, Ranged Attack, Melee Attack, Defense) are shown as bars normalized to the roster-wide maximum, while work suitability lists each Pal's level (1–8) for the tasks it can perform. The most favorable value in each row is highlighted — highest for combat, work, and ride speed, lowest for food amount. Every value shown is real in-game data, and the tool makes no subjective call about which Pal is better overall.

How to use the Pal comparison tool and what it shows

How to use it

  1. Pick 2 or 3 Pals to compare.
  2. HP, ranged attack, melee attack, defense and work suitability line up in columns, and the larger value in each row is highlighted.
  3. Your selection is saved in the address, so sharing the link opens the same comparison.

What the numbers are

Every value is the species base value from the game data, before level, IVs, passives and condensing, so it differs from the numbers on the in-game status screen.

Highlighting only compares the values within a row. Which stat matters depends on the job: look at work suitability for base workers, and attack and HP for combat.

Comparison example

Comparing Astralym and Frostallion Noct, the top two in the combat tier list: HP 200 vs 140, ranged attack 200 vs 140, melee attack 100 vs 100, defense 200 vs 135.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see the real numbers after leveling?
Enter the Pal, its level and the status screen values in the IV calculator, and it works back to an IV range with a community formula.
How many Pals can I compare?
Up to 3 side by side.

FAQ

Why isn't sell price highlighted?
HP, attack, and work levels are clearly better when higher, and food amount is better when lower. Sell price has no such direction — a higher price is not universally good — so it is shown as plain information without a best-value highlight.
Can I share a comparison?
Yes. The address bar updates automatically as you pick Pals, so copying and sharing that link lets others open the exact same comparison instantly.
